The not-so-secret life of Katee

It's no secret how she feels about bees, LA traffic, alcohol and rehab :P

Katee's Hit List

Browsing through today's print version of The Wall Street Journal, of course the most captivating article for me was a brief part in the Weekend Section featuring Katee Sackhoff talking about her top 3 sci-fi movies. Aside from the absence of any Star Wars movie, this list is a match to mine. Blade Runner is definitely number 1 for me. The Fifth Element is in my opinion one of the most underrated sci-fi films... possibly ever. But Alien... well, aside from being absolutely traumatized by this movie thanks to a mom that thought I was old enough to see it with her (but I really wasn't - I hid in the bathroom for half of it), I really appreciate how much was done right in this movie and that it is certainly an all-time classic, now that I'm all grown up that is. Still can't can't take the parts with aliens latching onto people's faces and the bursting bellies though.

WSJ has the main interview with Katee posted in whole here.

ONE MORE WEEK! Is it true?

Katee Sackhoff Q&A, season 4.5 poster

Scifi.com has kick started the Q&A sessions again, and part1 with Katee Sackhoff is up for viewing both from the recently slightly rearranged Battlestar site's video section (Note - You now have to navigate to www.scifi.com/battlestar/webisodes to view the webisodes there. It no longer opens from the home page), or you can watch the Hulu embed below. FYI - Here's a direct link to Hulu's Battlestar main page. Sorry folks, but there doesn't seem to be a youtube version out there just yet...

Speaking of Katee, Mo Ryan posted the fantabulous season 4.5 promotional poster below on her Chicago Tribune online blog The Watcher. This is going to be a new countdown widget image me thinks:

News from the front lines

By "front lines" I mean the midseason finale prescreening held in Los Angeles this past Wednesday. Not much we didn't already know, save for a few words from Katee Sackhoff and Mary McDonnell about their characters as E! Online reports. Of note is mention of the Caprica series, of which I have to wonder if they are considering it's pilot "movie" as one of the three rumored TV movies (see post above) to come aside the final 10 episodes of the series.

"Twelve Colonies, to Be Continued: The proposed Battlestar Galactica spinoff Caprica (starring Esai Morales, Paula Malcolmson and Eric Stotlz) is officially still just a two-hour movie, but based strictly on the enthusiasm of Howe and NBC Universal chief of cable programming Bonnie Hammer, I'd say that Caprica is getting picked up. Howe wasn't making any promises yet, but he said, "Based on the casting and the writing and talent involved, I think it's going to be spectacular." Hammer agrees that it's good stuff: "The dailies look amazing." "
